Well lets avoid the sentiments and emotions here. An Emeritus Pope? Sorry thats treating the Papacy as the world treats Professors and Presidents! Looks like a recipe for Confusion to me! A very low moment and during a global Depression with escalating Wars. What are we to understand that the Papacy has become like a Chief Executive Officer of a Corporate or President of a Republic. There will now de facto be two Popes in Rome there is no denying that this is what is about to happen!
