Urgent: The Rosary on Good Friday

The giving of the Rosary

Greetings!

Imagine what might happen if every Catholic in the world would pray a
Rosary on the same day! We have an example in October of 1573, when
Europe was saved from the invasion of the mighty Turkish fleet, by the
praying of the Rosary by all Christians – the origin of the Feast of the Rosary.

In the 1920s, the Church in Portugal experienced a miraculous resurrection
in the face of the fiercely anti-Catholic republican government, because the ordinary
people who had seen the miracle of the sun in October 1917, willingly complied
with Our Lady’s request to pray the Rosary every day …

In Austria in 1955, the Soviets voluntarily withdrew the Red Army of occupation,
after 10% of the population joined in a Rosary crusade with public processions …

So, on Good Friday, let us all pray a Rosary for suffering and persecuted Christians
wherever they might be, for peace in the world
and the return of moral values into our communities. If possible,
please pray your Rosary between Noon and 3:00pm.

Let’s unite in praying one of the most powerful prayers in existence,
for these intentions, on one of the holiest days in our Church year.

Ave Maria !

I heard a few years ago that Mary has said that she will use our rosary as a lasso to go
and get the poeple we pray for , comfort them and bring them to God. I thought it was a beautiful image and have used it since. O Mary you are our mother! and none can withstand your power. You can have us all feel the love of God. Thank you !

Let’s unite in praying one of the most powerful prayer……. I can attest to that
based on my almost 30 years of praying the rosary daily. We will never be con
quer by any misfortune if we seek the intecession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

What an honor to pray to the Mother of our God for her Motherly guidance and love for the world. To bring our earthly brothers and sisters back to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Pray to bring morals, values and principals back into society.
    Ave Maria.

Well, I said my Rosary today just before going to the 3pm Good Friday service.

Being a techno-head, I don’t use beads anymore, I use this Rosary app for Android. It is fantastic:

    http://www.androidzoom.com/android_applications/lifestyle/interactive-rosary_mehx.html

It actually recites the prayers using a gentle, woman’s voice. It is impossible to get lost or distracted for long. Each decade is preceded by a short introductory meditation, and every prayer is included.

If you find it useful, please thank the author via the above website.

I went up to the church early and said mine before the Blessed Sacrament.

It was a beautiful liturgy, as always on Good Friday.

    How blessed we are.

I have just watched a documentary on EWTN of the plight of the Iraqi Christians. My heart was wrenched with sorrow at their horrendous situation, grim and ongoing – though sadly this of course is news to no one!

The statistics tell us that three out of four victims of persecution in the world today are Christians. The duty of all other Christians, who live in places of relative safety, towards so many of our suffering brothers and sisters in Christ today, is very urgent. Through the offering of our prayers, sacrifices and solidarity to relieve and intercede for their suffering, together we can do much to help.

Blessed Mother Mary, accept our rosaries of petition for all Christians everywhere, the innocent victims of hate and intolerance, and bring them consolation and peace.
    Amen

This was a post from Good Friday of last year. But please let us pray the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary again this Good Friday….. and for the same intentions. Nothing but good fruit can come from it. The persecution of Christians all over the world continues; in western countries the undermining of moral values which bring such harm to men’s souls (especially the young) persists.
We need the powerful prayer of the Holy Rosary on this special day – together with the start of the Divine Mercy Novena – to fight these evils.

you forgot to mention the peaceful people power revolution at EDSA Manila Philippines during the four days in February 1986. The country’s dictator fled the country, and the revolution was a very peaceful one because the people were reciting the rosary continuously for four days.

I will be praying the rosary today and I ask for blessings for all my family and all the families of the world to try to make peace especially on this day when our lord and savior died on the cross to save us from our sins. My god I love thee with my whole heart and soul and I love my neighbor as myself.Thank you Lord for all my blessings
