People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you.
Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.
Create any way.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten.
Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.
Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway.

As it is, he still agrees with about 99% of it.

This was a trifle indulgent of me (mea culpa) to post this. I am having a little trouble at the moment seeing Christ in some people, and whilst I am sure I am probably not looking closely enough, I needed reminding to do my best anyway, and that ultimately God would know how hard I am trying ;-).

If you live for Christ other people’s bad behavior has no bearing on you because you live only for HIS approval. So, you have it backwards. You don’t look for CHRIST in other people unless you want to be disappointed. That huge hole in your heart can only be filled by CHRIST, and by giving your life to HIM, HE can use you to create a hunger in others to have the Peace and Love only HE can give. I know.
