Almighty God, you blessed St George with a spirit of bravery to follow Christ in his suffering and death; by his prayers may your blessing be upon England; and grant us, like him, a spirit of gentleness and courtesy in our Christian life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Good teeth is one thing that used to separate people in the Old Country from us in the New World. Not sure that’s still the case. Is dentistry covered by the NHS? It isn’t over here. I looked at my dentist’s computer screen awhile ago and saw that I’d paid him over $30,000 over 30 years. A fair bargain, as you can tell from my avatar.
