Our Lady is the greatest of God’s creatures, in saecula saeculorum.
Women get painted for their beauty, men for their ugly power-playing.
Except Christ, of course, who is painted for His goodness, truth and His beautiful power to gift eternal life to the likes of you and me.
Where would Christ be without His beautiful Mother?
Now there’s a question that could consume alot of eternity!

Brother Burrissimo may see this as, “…ugly power playing.” I see it as brutal and unswerving honesty honesty in the face of inevitable physical disintegration.
Still, takes all sorts. Dunnit.
(I also thought about putting up a Rembrandt.)

I am not sure if men get painted for their ugly power-playing these days. The objection raised to seeing women as paragons of beauty and virtue is that it somehow limits a woman’s social and economic opportunities. But, then these are qualities that can be bought into the workplace and the world, not just at home. I am not called to be a wife and mother, but I will be a spiritual wife and mother in the world.

Yes, women are the final creation for a reason. It is a great responsibility to be a woman. I like the image too by the way. 🙂
