For those who may have missed very recently Catholic World Report or New Advent website, this should not be missed.
Spot on! Or are there any with a different “perspective”?

“If you are going to center your public life on the private act of sodomy, you had better transform sodomy into a highly moral act. ”
Why?
Why not just leave sodomy as it is?
And I rather doubt that – by making your sexual proclivities public, you are necessarily obliged to be “highly moral” about it.
But I don’t know. I’m only a toad.

“If sodomy is a moral disorder, it cannot be legitimately advanced on the legal or civil level. On the other hand, if it is a highly moral act, it should—in fact, must—serve as the basis for marriage, family (adoption), and community. “
Are “moral disorder,” or “highly moral act,” the only two possible sodomical alternatives, then?
Where does that leave, say, the practice of vegetarianism?
…But if sodomy is a “highly moral act” (which I seriously doubt) why must it prove the basis for anything?
Is normal sexual intercourse “the basis” for marriage, family and community? If a man and woman marry – are they morally obliged to perform this act? How often a week? Any particular position? Is “missionary” mandatory?
Are homosexuals, in fact, obliged to sodomise? What about female ones? I have to admit I don’t speak from practical experience here, but remember reading that Auden, for one, found the idea of sodomy repugnant.
In short, I don’t much mind “gay marriage” being legalised, as long as it’s not compulsory.
As to sodomy, well everyone knows what they can do with it.
(Amazing obsession with sex, some of its critics seem to possess.)
