Real Religion

St John Vianney, Pray for us

“All our religion is but a false religion, and all our virtues are mere illusions and we ourselves are only hypocrites in the sight of God, if we have not that universal charity for everyone – for the good, and for the bad, for the poor and for the rich, and for all those who do us harm as much as those who do us good. ”

– St. John Marie Vianney

Feast day 4th August, (also my mother’s birthday). Sorry for my tardiness.

About Brother Burrito

Thanks for posting it on my mother’s birthday, Brother B, which of course means thou art forgiven. (Also the 69th anniversary of the bomb on Hiroshima.)

Difficult to conjure up much “universal charity” in Iraq these days.
But possible, I suppose, with the help of God.
