Lenten Mission

Lent is coming … soon.
In the past, you could find a traditional Lenten Mission at many parishes. Now, unless you are near a traditional parish, they are nearly extinct — or worthless.

Fortunately, we are not meant to live in the past, we are meant to live in the now. And, now, we have the Internet. And, there is an abundance of good on the Internet, along with the bad.

As always, we bring to your attention this wonderful, traditional, five-part Lenten Mission by the holy and learned Fr. Isaac Mary Relyea. While it is not short, it does go by very quickly, and is easy to follow and understand. It’s clear, concise and bold.

As the season nears, you would do well to listen to this, to pray on it and to use it to prepare for a fruitful Lent — and be ready for it to change you for the better.

  1. I think that making this mission available is a superb idea. God bless you.

…But we must behave as if we were living in the past – pre the Satanic and Masonic, Vat ll.

“And, there is an abundance of good on the Internet, along with the bad.”
True. Pride of Place going to The Magnificent Toad, of course.

That is a terrible thing to say, Toad! I really can´t understand how it could have passed our moderation system.

Vatican II was not “Satanical”: it was a legitimate Pastoral Church Council. What happened was that the Masonic members of the Church managed to infiltrate it and plant some ambiguous texts in certain documents that were then pounced upon afterwards by the liberal/progressive thinking crowd to push through abuses and compromises. Even now, when we read the documents, it is clearly demonstrated that many of their stipulations and affirmation of Church traditions have been totally ignored or disobeyed in these intervening 50 years. One of the greatest errors (if not the greatest) was the inovation in the Sacred Liturgy…. for as we never fail to repeat “lex orandi, lex credendi….

Yes, Satan got a foot in the door at V2, no doubt about that, but it would be wrong to call the whole Council satanical. He used his minions to wreck the good intentions of its instigators.

P.S. The V2 texts on Ecumenism are also highly suspect. Look at the mostly bad fruits these have brought into the Church, with so many now kowtowing to Protestant heretics (e.g., Luther).

P.P.S. These talks of the ´Lenten Mission´ are absolutely wonderful… pure and unadulterated Catholicism!

I find the moderating system as mysterious as you do, Kathleen. We, as usual, are one on this.

    Agreed, again!
I highly recommended listening to them – and the Moderators struck my comment out! What is the world coming to? (No need to answer that.)
