Please Join in the Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary – Wherever You Are

 From Torch of the Faithconsecration_172

EWTN GB has posted these photographs of yesterday’s event at Westminster Cathedral with a H/T to Fr. Jeff Steel. I also notice that a gentleman called Andrew Cusack has more splendid images on his Twitter page. When you still see mothers humbly kneeling in public before Our Lady like that, then you can bet that things will be alright in the end!

Deacon Nick Donnelly has reported for EWTN GB on the high turnout at Westminster Cathedral for the reconsecration of England and Wales to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Yesterday’s event was led by Cardinal Vincent Nichols and included: a Marian procession; Holy Mass; the reconsecration of England and Wales to the Immaculate Heart of Mary; the crowning of the pilgrim Virgin statue; the Rosary; and the opportunity to venerate the relics of Blessed Jacinta and Blessed Francesco Marto. In the early evening, a symposium was also held in the cathedral hall.

This special day in honour of Our Lady marked the beginning of a series of 18 visitations, which will take place with Marian days being held at cathedrals, abbeys and shrines, throughout England and Wales, from May until October, in order to mark the 100-year anniversary of the Apparitions at Fatima.

Deacon Donnelly has posted up Ven. Pope Pius XII’s Solemn Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

We also include this below, inviting all our readers, wherever you are, to please join with us in making a heartfelt consecration to Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart.

It is heartening to see that such a large number of Catholics turned up at Westminster Cathedral yesterday to honour the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Mr. Cusack’s Twitter page describes massive crowds; and includes several images that prove it!

Solemn Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Most Holy Virgin Mary, tender Mother of men, to fulfil the desires of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and the request of the Vicar of Your Son on earth, we consecrate ourselves and our families to Your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, O Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, and we recommend to You, all the people of our country and all the world.

Please accept our consecration, dearest Mother, and use us as You wish to accomplish Your designs in the world.

O Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, and Queen of the World, rule over us, together with the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ, Our King. Save us from the spreading flood of modern paganism; kindle in our hearts and homes the love of purity, the practice of a virtuous life, an ardent zeal for souls, and a desire to pray the Rosary more faithfully.

We come with confidence to You, O Throne of Grace and Mother of Fair Love. Inflame us with the same Divine Fire which has inflamed Your own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Make our hearts and homes Your shrine, and through us, make the Heart of Jesus, together with Your rule, triumph in every heart and home.

Amen.

One of my sisters travelled to Westminster Cathedral on Saturday to be there for this memorable event of the Comsecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and Veneration of the relics of Blesseds Francisco and Jacinta. She sent me some lovely photos; there were literally thousands of people congregated in the Cathedral!
She said it was the most wonderful and moving experience.
