Coptic Christians on pilgrimage massacred by masked gunmen in Egypt

CP&S Comment – This is becoming almost a daily news item: massacres, beheadings, torture, kidnappings, and every type of atrocity committed against Christians from extremists of the ‘Religion of Peace’. It disgusts and saddens us, but it no longer surprises us. We expect nothing different from these sons of Satan. We can only look on in helplessness and despair at the vulnerability of Christians living in countries of a Muslim-majority with their lack of measures in place to protect them. Egypt’s Coptic Christians, an estimated 10% of the population, have been some of the worst hit victims of recent Islamic terrorist activities. ‘Mahound’s Paradise‘ reminds us, “Ramadan – a “holy” period that usually brings with it increased levels of Muslim violence – started today.”

From the Daily Mail

Masked gunmen attacked a bus carrying Coptic Christians on a visit to a monastery south of the Egyptian capital on Friday, killing at least 28 people including children, officials said.

The assailants in three pick-up trucks attacked the bus as it was heading for the Saint Samuel monastery in Minya province, more than 200 kilometres (120 miles) from Cairo, before fleeing, the interior ministry said.

It was the latest attack on Copts after Islamic State (IS) group jihadists bombed three churches in December and April, killing dozens of Christians.
