The Truth About The Crisis In The Catholic Church (video)

The crisis in the Catholic Church has been getting worse and worse by the day for about the last 100 years. In this video, Father Adam Purdy dissects some of the recent scandalous headlines about what has been coming to light and how that relates to the messages of Our Lady of Good Success of the Purification in Quito, Ecuador.

Thank you, Fr. Purdy. Good interpretation of the past few months

  2. Father Purdy is a member of the SSPX, and after watching this video, my respect for the SSPX has grown enormously.

What also has grown is my understanding of why the SSPX has been so careful about overtures from this current pope, overtures that have had as their goal a regularization of the status of the SSPX within the Church.

If this current woeful pope were to gain any power over the SSPX, he would eventually do to them what he did to the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate and, to a lesser extent, the Knights of Malta.

What puzzles me, frankly, is how another community of traditional priests, the FSSP, has been able to remain in communion with Rome and at the same time escape the fate this pitiable pope seems to visit on any group of faithful, traditional Catholics.

Perhaps he’s just biding his time.

Robert John Bennett – yes that worries me. This pontificate has targeted the traditional Mass and orders because they know that is the source of true conversion. Our priests are FSSP and they have vocations. I basically think they should keep under the radar and not broadcast that they have vocations. There is a traditional monastery that encountered considerable opposition from the Catholic beaurocracy (not clerical hierarchy) here. The administration in St Vincent de Paul here, I am told, are implacably opposed to the Archbishop because he is conservative. This reflects on what Father Purdy says about the NO. The muddying of the liturgy affects the doctrine and it seeps down into the practice- then they adopt positions that are against Church doctrine and still see themselves as practicing Catholics.

Our Lady of Good Success said: “Pray constantly, implore tirelessly and weep bitter tears in the seclusion of your heart, beseeching the Eucharistic Heart of my most holy Son to take pity on His ministers and to end, as soon as possible these unhappy times by sending to His Church the Prelate who shall restore the spirit of her priests.”
