Il Foglio today as a story about how Pope Francis was a decisive factor in handing over a neo-Gothic church in the center of Rome, Santa Maria Immacolata all’Esquilino, to the SSPX.
It is going to be a center for studies and, perhaps, their HQ. It is a pretty large complex.
I hope the priests of the SSPX know what they’re doing. After what Bergoglio did to the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate and to the Knights of Malta, and to others, I’m sure he’d just love to get his hands on a “rigid” group like the SSPX so that he can “correct” their faith and their practices. For Bergoglio it’s an embarrassment for a group like that to be free to follow the traditions and to obey the traditional teachings of the Church.
There’s no telling what Bergoglio might to do to them in one of his famous fits of rage. The SSPX should be afraid, very, very afraid.

In his recent interview with Rorate, Bishop Schneider said that if their charism were to be threatened, the SSPX would have to return to its former status.

My well known perspicacity, or rather that of this super-intelligent albeit semi-sedevacantist Catholic blogger, who has recently either had a nervous breakdown or whose website has been attacked and who has, for whichever reason, not posted anything for 6 weeks, makes me think that SSPX is being handed something blackhearted by our Holy Father.

…er, my Barnhardt link is not on point – sorry about that – but she (a manic-depressive possibly, like many super-intelligents) did make a very persuasive case in my book a few months ago about how Pope Francis intends to destroy SSPX by using a Trojan Horse. I’m not up to looking back through her postings for her thoughts on the issue, but she’s even smarter than me, if you can believe it.

Pray to St Nicholas – yes he gave out presents, but he also punches heretics.

Mortals do not live forever and this includes Popes. With this in mind I think the SSPX can proceed with caution, but most importantly with faith that the Gates of Hell cannot prevail against the Church and truth

The church has not been “handed over” to the SSPX, they have purchased the building to replace their existing small, crowded chapel.

Who are you replying to Vianney, and what is your point? SSPX is a wealthy organization.

johnhenryen, I am replying to the article which says that the church was “handed over”to the SSPX and I am just pointing out that this is not so and that they have purchased the building.
